A Shared Investment in Education
Your monthly sponsorship makes it possible for your sponsored child to attend school. In addition to your support, we ask each student’s parent or guardian to contribute a committment fee. This local contribution is intentionally modest, but it matters. It helps families feel a sense of ownership in their child’s education and encourages a commitment to attend and engage, rather than viewing school as just another “handout.”
Because of this, we do not allow sponsors to pay the committment fee on behalf of the family. Covering this cost for them would remove an important opportunity for parents and guardians to take pride in helping their child through school.
What about orphans?
Children who are full orphans in our orphanage (with no parent or guardian able to care for them) are not asked to pay committment fees. In these cases, GOYA Ministries covers the school fee on their behalf so they can still fully participate in their education.
