Dental Clinic for our High School!

Our mission, at GOYA Ministries, is to radically change the lives of those living in extreme poverty through the hope of Jesus Christ.  While we strive to reach others with the gospel, we also desire to give tangible aid to those that typically get ignored or pushed aside. We do this through our education programs, feeding programs, Bible outreach programs, medical clinics, and weekly church services. We hope to meet the spiritual and physical needs of those within our reach in the slums of Nairobi. This holistic approach provides a platform to help reach our students and the surrounding community with the hope of Jesus Christ as well as the opportunity for a better future through higher education.

Radically changing the living conditions of slum children is no easy task, but we are blessed to be surrounded by individuals that share our same vision.  A group of dedicated dentists have taken time from their schedules every year to provide dental services to our students and staff free of charge. Through our relationships with these incredible dentists, we have been blessed with an opportunity to purchase $60,000 worth of dental equipment for only $25,000!  We already have rooms designated at our new GOYA High School, located just outside of Nairobi.  Time and time again we have seen the Lord provide in ways that we never could have imagined! The opportunity to equip our high school with two fully functional dental chairs and medical equipment is beyond exciting!

The equipment is ready as soon as we can raise the necessary funds.

Would you consider helping with this purchase so we can get these rooms set up and ready for us to care for our children in Kenya? The purchase of this medical equipment will adequately equip two rooms that can double as dental and medical care rooms. The dentist “chairs” can actually be laid flat and turned into exam beds!

Here is a list of some of the items that will be set up in our new clinic rooms:

- Dental cabinets – these are special ADEC-made cabinets specifically designed to store sterilized dental and medical equipment
- 2 Dental ADEC Operatory units with chairs (these chairs are the ones that can be laid flat and used as medical exam tables)
- 2 stools
- X-ray unit with a control box and wall mount
- X-ray sensor
- Dental compressor
- Sterilizer
- Vacuum form
- Curing light
- Suction unit
- Metrix Dental suctions
- Amalgamator
- Hand pieces
- Computer software
- Forceps
- Surgical and restorative instruments

There are a few more items we will have to purchase to make the rooms fully-functioning, bringing the total cost close to $25,000 for equipment + $10,000 for shipping & taxes.

This is a remarkable discount compared to the actual cost of what we will be receiving!

Will you join us? Will you help us provide excellent preventative and restorative care to our students and community?
We can’t do this without you!
